Fast Rescue Boats

You will learn how to handle lifesaving devices and take charge of a non-fast rescue boat.

Certificate approved in Spain by the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine complying with the Training Code of the STCW-78/10 Convention.

Theory: 9 hours

In air-conditioned classrooms a few minutes from the center of Barcelona.

Practices: 7 hours

In the open sea. Mandatory attendance at 100% during the practical hours.

Validity: 5 years

The certificate must be revalidated by completing a refresher course.

The training, which is given in Spanish, is aimed at captains, officers, sailors and crew members who are assigned functions in fast rescue boats on ships that are equipped with them.

To request the issuance of the certificate of Fast Rescue Boats you will have to submit the following documentation to the Maritime Administration of your autonomous community:

The program complies with the Official Resolution of June 18, 2013 (Manila Amendments 2010), of the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine, by which they update and modify the training courses and their programs, included in Order FOM/2296/2002 of September 4, in compliance with the STCW Convention Section A-VI / 2-2 of the Training Code, based on the guidelines of the IMO Model Course 24.1.
