Advanced Fire Fighting

Theoretical and practical course that trains the student to control and coordinate firefighting operations on board, with emphasis on organization, tactics and command, and instructs them to handle the different types of extinguishers, hoses and types of lances, fire hydrants and self-contained breathing equipment.

Certificate approved in Spain by the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine complying with the Training Code of the STCW-78/10 Convention.

Theory: 12 hours

In air-conditioned classrooms a few minutes from the center of Barcelona.

Internships: 12 hours

In a fire field just minutes from the school.

Validity: 5 years

The certificate must be revalidated by completing a refresher course.

Advanced Fire Fighting

Face-to-face classes in Barcelona's Olympic Village

The training, which is given in Spanish, is aimed at captains and bridge and engine officers of merchant ships; as well as crew members of tankers who must be in possession of the Certificate of Familiarization in Oil and Chemical Vessels or the Certificate of Familiarization in Gas Vessels. In general, to personnel who are part of the intervention teams of the emergency plans on board.

To request the issuance of the certificate of Advanced Fire Fighting you will have to submit the following documentation to the Maritime Administration of your autonomous community:
