Essential certificate to enlist on cruise ships, yachts and merchant ships, among others.

You will acquire basic skills related to reporting events that affect protection, including attempts and attacks by pirates or armed robbers.

Certificate approved in Spain by the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine complying with the Training Code of the STCW-78/10 Convention.

Theory: 6 hours

In air-conditioned classrooms a few minutes from the center of Barcelona.

Practices: 2 hours

In the classroom.

Validity: Does not expire

The certificate does not need to be revalidated.

Face-to-face classes in Barcelona's Olympic Village

The training, which is given in Spanish, is aimed at all crew members of merchant ships who must have a Ship and Port Facility Protection Certificate, and who do not have a Ship Protection Officer Certificate, and at personnel who must assume specific tasks and responsibilities in terms of protection, in accordance with the provisions of the ship's protection plan.

The course aims to enable students to determine the procedures to be followed when a threat to protection is recognized, and to participate in emergency and contingency procedures related to protection in accordance with the ISPS Code (code adopted by the IMO to establish an international framework for cooperation to detect threats and adopt preventive measures).

Increase maritime protection through awareness and maintenance of the conditions established in a protection plan.
Recognition of risks and threats to protection.
Carrying out periodic inspections and recognizing threats to protection.
