Type of boat licenses
If you dream of sailing, there are five types of licenses depending on the size of the boat and the distance you can go from the coast:
· Navigation license
· Basic navigation skipper
· Recreational boats skipper
· Yacht Skipper
· Yacht captain
To obtain any of these licenses, you need to take a theoretical course and complete some practical training. And then you'll be ready to set sail!

Jet skis
Navigation license
An easy course, quick to complete and without an exam, which you can do if you are over 16 years old. You will be able to drive all kinds of jet skis and boats of up to 6 meters.

You will be able to steer boats of up to 8 meters, with motor and sail, depending on the practices you carry out.

With your YS title, plus the STCW Basic Safety Training certificate, you will be able to charter with up to six passengers.

PPER – Professional Skipper for Recreational Boats
The PPER enables you to sail, as a professional skipper, at a distance of 60 or 150 nautical miles, with up to 12 passengers on board.
